Leq’á:mel First Nation Housing Statement

Leq’á:mel First Nation is committed to providing safe, affordable, and well-managed housing for our community members. We achieve this through responsible and respectful property management practices.

We encourage all Leq’á:mel citizens to take pride in their homes by caring for residential spaces, fostering positive relationships with neighbors, and maintaining a deep connection to our community, land, and culture. Together, we uphold the integrity and longevity of Leq’á:mel properties.

To be added to the rental waitlist, please complete the Rental Application Form and submit it to the Housing Department. All applications will be carefully reviewed for consideration.

The Leq’á:mel Housing Department reviews all applicants when a rental home comes available. Depending on the size of the rental unit, the number of applicants, family income and the applicant’s needs, the Housing Department will “score” applicants based on the point system attached to the housing application. Successful applicants will be notified once a decision has been made.

No. Leq’á:mel must apply for funding on the members behalf to cover CP home improvements through external funding providers.
